The Turn of the Screw, the story of unearthly encounters at a remote country house, and of a young governess desperate to protect her children from certain evil, finds chilling new levels of suspense in this unique outdoor production at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.
Members of the ENO Orchestra will bring their award-winning skills to Britten’s masterly re-working of Henry James’s classic novella.
The Turn of the Screw is directed by multiple Olivier Award-winner Timothy Sheader. As Artistic Director of the Open Air Theatre, Sheader has introduced the works of Chekhov, Miller, Wilde and Dickens, and his productions of To Kill a Mockingbird and Lord of the Flies have also enjoyed successful UK tours.
