Tuuri Dede is an Estonian mezzo- soprano, who has studied at Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Teele Jõks), Sibelus Academy in Finland (Annika Ollinkari) and currently with Carola Guber in Leipzig.
Dede’s opera roles include Dorabella (Così fan tutte); Frida (K. Aho’s Frida y Diego); Mother, Dragonfly and Teacup (L’enfant et les sortilègès). Her concert repertoire includes vocal masterpieces from Händel to Honegger (Messiah, Judas Maccabeus, Bach’s Magnificat, Mass in B minor, Petite messe solennelle, Kullervo, Le Roi David).
She has won prizes from 1. to 4. in national and international competitions in Estonia and Finland. Dede has participated in many masterclasses including Soile Isokoski, Deborah Polaski, Luana DeVol and Jorma Silvasti, and performed as a soloist with many orchestras from Estonia, Finland and Germany. In January 2016 she had her debut at Berliner Philharmonie.
