EQ Mentorship: Gabriella Teychenné will assist Barbara with conducting engagements throughout the 2018/2019 season.

Sophia joined us for the EQ auditions in Stockholm and then for the LUDWIG tour last December. She will be with us for The Rake’s Progress: writing, contributing, and learning with the team.
Also by way of EQ, the pianist, composer and conductor Edo Frenkel got in touch, and serendipity created an opportunity for us to work together in the preparation of a Satie Socrate project at the Ruhrtriennale. I look forward to working with him again in future.
Recently I was assisted by the young(er than me) conductor Gabriella Teychenné on my European tour with the Netherlands’ Ludwig Orchestra. She was a welcome addition to our tour. Her positive energy and fierce talent were inspiring to me and to the players in the orchestra, and I’m very happy she will assist me for my concerts in January 2018 at Munich Philharmonic!
