In the 2021 – 2022 season, Jeanne Gérard will be making her debut as Gilda (Rigoletto) at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées and at the Opéra de Rouen, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) at the Grand Théâtre, Scène Nationale de Mâcon, and Micaëla (Carmen) at the Seine Musicale. Recent opera credits include Sophie (Werther) at the Opéra de Nice, Dorinda (The Tempest) and The Second Woman (Dido and Aeneas) under the baton of Leonardo García Alarcón at La Grange au Lac, Der Hüter des Tempels (Die Frau ohne Schatten) under the baton of Valery Gergiev at the Verbier Festival, Le Feu/ Rossignol (cover) in Richard Jones’s production of L’Enfant et les sortilèges at the Opéra National de Paris and Amore (Orfeo ed Euridice) at Opera North in Sweden and Budapest Palace of Arts.
On the concert stage, Ms Gérard has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Opéra National de Paris (Amphithéâtre Bastille), the Chorégies d’Orange, the Grand Théâtre de Provence, Symphony Space, Danny Kaye Playhouse, Salle Cortot, Salle Gaveau… Upcoming album releases include song cycles by Karol Beffa under French label Klarthe and Shikoku, by Johan Farjot for Alpha Classics.
Jeanne Gérard is the recipient of several competition prizes. She has earned a Master’s of classical voice from Manhattan School of Music and has been a member of the Martina Arroyo Foundation, Songfest and the Atelier Lyrique of the Verbier Festival.
