Postponed due to Coronavirus

Equilibrium Young Artists will give the world premiere of Gerald Barry’s Salome in May this year. Based on text by Oscar Wilde, the opera will be performed at the NTR ZaterdagMatinee at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam with Ludwig Orchestra. This will be Equilibrium Young Artists’ first world premiere.

The cast includes:

soprano/conductor, The Princess Barbara Hannigan

tenor, The King James Way

soprano, The Queen Alison Scherzer

bass, A young Syrian Trevor Eliot Bowes

bass, Soldier Sam Carl 

actor, The Prisoner Mathieu Amalric

The performance will also include Haydn Symphony 90, conducted by Barbara Hannigan.

The opera is a co-commission between LA Philharmonic (LA premiere postponed), Concertgebouw ZaterdagMatinee and the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
