Equilibrium will return to the Gasteig next month for a streamed concert with the Munich Philharmonic.
The concert will feature Equilibrium Young Artists Julia Dawson (mezzo), Charles Sy (tenor) and Douglas Williams (bass-baritone) performing Stravinsky’s Pulcinella. Rolf Verbeek will act as Barbara’s assistant conductor. The concert will also feature EQ conductor Levi Hammer as the pianist in Copland’s Music for the Theatre with the orchestra and Levi will also help with the preparation of the Stravinsky.
We are thrilled to be back with Munich Philharmonic and are so excited that this program could be created to replace the scheduled (larger) repertoire* and are excited to share this concert with you at a later date via the stream.Stream details to be announced shortly.
*Extra triumph: this replacement repertoire is the same as that of our cancelled 2020 Munich Philharmonic concerts and we are so pleased that this concert features three German-based singers who were supposed to sing this repertoire in the cancelled Toronto Symphony concerts in January this year!
