Equilibrium Alison ScherzerPraised for her “high, sweet coloratura” and “nuanced performance”, soprano Alison Scherzer creative portfolio spans opera, musical theater, concert, operetta, theater and film. Notable roles include Cecily Cardew in Gerald Barry’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Maid in Powder Her Face, Ulla in The Producers, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, and Curley’s Wife in Carlisle Floyd’s Of Mice and Men.

Scherzer studied at the prestigious University of Cincinnati – College Conservatory of Music (CCM) for her Master of Music degree, as well as for an Artist Diploma directed towards incorporating different art forms and performance practices within song recitals of contemporary repertoire. Based in Cologne, Germany, Alison is looking forward towards mentorship with Barbara and collaborating with the EQ initiative in the world premiere of Gerald Barry’s opera Salome.
