Equilibrium’s first project will be three semi-staged performances of Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress with Gothenburg Symphony in December 2018. Barbara Hannigan will be conducting. Further performances of the production are planned elsewhere, in spring and summer 2019. For the Gothenburg production we are looking for Europe-based singers when possible. The singers will be paid by Gothenburg Symphony.
This is the first of a major series of projects. The repertoire will be mainly orchestral and chamber music.

Gothenburg Symphony

The Gothenburg Symphony, the National Orchestra of Sweden, was founded in 1905. The orchestra’s home is the Gothenburg Concert Hall, and the orchestra’s television channel GSOplay broadcasts concerts live and on demand in full HD.
Barbara Hannigan has performed many times with the Gothenburg Symphony, both as soprano soloist and conductor.
In the 2015-2016 season she was Artist-in-Residence with the orchestra.
